Riding Tides in Placencia, Belize
Join us for a serene beach horseback ride along the stunning Placencia peninsula.
All rides depart from Sand and Saddle Stables at Barefoot Services (see this map) on Placencia peninsula, for a 1.5 to 2 hour experience.
Head north for 45 minutes. Along the way participants will have the chance to dismount for a refreshing swim with their horse or capture some memorable photos before heading back to complete this unique experience.
No Riding experience is necessary, as a riding and safety briefing is part of the requirment before the tour departs.
The tour guide will ensure you have an informative and educational ride along the coast.

Stable Rides for kids up to age 8 (40 minutes and outside of pre scheduled ride times). Time may be flexible and based on availability, between scheduled horseback riding times listed above.
Age and Riding Requirements
Minimum age: 8 years (solo riders with prior experience).
Other ages may be considered based on multiple factors that may be different for each family. Please ask us.
For younger children who don’t meet the requirements for our standard rides, Sand & Saddle Stables offers an introductory horse ride, perfect for giving kids a feel for the experience.
Booking Requirements
When booking, we kindly ask for the following information for each participant:

Advance booking is required for all rides, as this experience is fast becoming one of our most requested activities. We recommend booking well in advance to secure a spot.
Check in Time
Arrive early: All participants are expected to arrive 15-30 minutes before ride time to get fitted with gears and go through a safety briefing.
The maximum weight for riders is 250 pounds to ensure the safety and comfort of both the horse and rider.
